Position Overview :
The Business Development Manager will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth by developing and maintaining relationships with clients in the safety industry.
This consultative sales role requires a blend of industry expertise, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills to understand client needs and offer tailored solutions.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in B2B SaaS sales, with the ability to manage and shorten sales cycles through effective training and engagement.
Key Responsibilities :
- Sales and Business Development :
- Drive business growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the safety industry.
- Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to closing deals, with sales cycles typically ranging from 3 to 6 months, and the potential to reduce to 2 months with effective training.
- Conduct consultative sales meetings with potential clients, asking insightful questions to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Client Relationship Management :
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, reflecting the persona of the buyer and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and providing ongoing support to foster long-term partnerships.
Qualifications and Skills :
- Proven experience in B2B SaaS sales, preferably within the safety industry.
- Experience managing health and safety initiatives is highly desirable.
- Strong consultative sales skills with the ability to ask probing questions and understand client needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport and trust with clients.
- Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including V-lookups, pivot tables, and data analysis.
- Inquisitive, intelligent, and ambitious with a strong desire to succeed.
- Ability to reflect the persona of the buyer, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
