Salary : $100-$130K, dependent on experience

Position Overview : The Safety Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the safety programs and protocols across all construction sites.

The role involves ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations and promoting a culture of safety within the organization.

The Safety Manager will work closely with project teams to identify potential hazards, conduct safety training, and implement preventive measures to reduce the risk of accidents and injuries.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs and policies for all construction projects.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety standards, and other applicable safety laws.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of construction sites to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Lead safety training sessions for employees and subcontractors, covering topics such as fall protection, equipment operation, and emergency response.
  • Maintain accurate safety records and documentation, including safety reports, incident logs, and training records.
  • Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and other stakeholders to ensure safety is integrated into all project phases.
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams on safety-related issues, ensuring a proactive approach to safety management.
  • Develop and deliver safety briefings and toolbox talks to reinforce safety protocols on-site.
  • Stay current with industry best practices and advancements in safety technology and methodologies.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction safety management.
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and educate others on safety matters.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing safety programs in a construction environment.
  • Ability to conduct thorough safety inspections and accident investigations.
  • Certifications such as OSHA 30-hour, OSHA 500, or other relevant safety certifications are preferred.
  • Proficiency in safety management software and tools.
