Our client located in Contrecoeur Quebec islooking for a Controller. This is a hybrid full time contract role.CPA is mandatory.
Bilingual is mandatory.
Theresponsibilities :
Under theresponsibility of the Director of Industrial Control the IndustrialController will be responsible for :
- Conducting a detailed cost analysis tracking performance andplanning a weekly meeting with plant managers to share analyses andrecommendations related to the budget highlighting variances andproposing solutions to address them;
- Closing theperiod ensuring that accounting standards and dealing with tightdeadlines;
- Working collaboratively with themanagement team preparing monthly presentations to understand andexplain plant performances and be able to assess risks andopportunities;
- Collaborating with directors toestablish annual budgets and monthly forecasts that contribute toachieving the organizationss objectives;
- Overseeing physical inventory counts and ensuring the accuracy ofinventory quantities and values as well as compliance withaccounting standards;
- Monitoring and valuingcontinuous improvement projects and ensuring their properaccounting in the system;
- Participating invarious profitability analyses at the request of plant managers andthe Director of Industrial Control;
Respondingto requests from internal and externalauditors.
Requirements :
- Hold abachelors degree in administration commerce or managementaccounting;
- Have a minimum of three years ofexperience in a manufacturing environment with strong technicalaccounting skills;
- Proficiency in the MicrosoftOffice suite particularly Excel spreadsheet;
- Have a strong openness to new technologies;
- Knowledge of management software is an asset; familiarity with SAPsoftware is a plus;

- Ability to manage multiple files at once and have a sense ofurgency;
- Demonstrate communication skills greatadaptability and a strong team spirit;
- Be ableto travel to work in the plant and demonstrateautonomy;
- Prioritize health and safety on adaily basis : you are an advocate for good health safety andenvironmental practices at work;
Have a goodcommand of both French andEnglish.
