As the Program Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in planning, developing, marketing, delivering, and evaluating services, events, and programming at the University of Regina. Your understanding of the unique needs of Indigenous learners will contribute to building a culturally relevant community that supports their academic journey.
What You’ll Do :
Create a Community : Design, develop, and deliver leadership focused and culturally responsive programming to support Indigenous students’ development and retention. Ensure these students have a welcoming community within the University of Regina.
Build Relationships : Build and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external partners with the intent to maintain, improve, and expand on service delivery that improves student success rates, and addresses critical social, political, and economic issues that affect Indigenous students.
Event Coordinator : Oversee and deliver several events and programs (small and large scale) that promote Indigenous knowledges, cultures, and leadership development skills for students and the University community.
Academic and Personal Support : Equip students with essential academic skills and personal growth through tailored workshops and one-on-one interactions. You will empower students to excel, inside and outside the classroom.
Leadership Development Facilitator : Take the lead role in the development, maintenance, and assessment of the Neekaneewak Leadership Initiative (NLI). The NLI is designed to build leadership traits within four categories of skills development : academic, cultural, community, and professional.
Promotions Lead : Develop, design, and deliver promotional materials and communications strategies for activities within the ta-tawaw Student Centre. This includes developing content for print and website, writing reports for potential donors, creating email campaigns, and facilitating event promotion and registration.
