Salary : $80,000.00-$100,000.00
We are seeking an Accounting Manager for our client who will be responsible for managing a team to ensure work is properly allocated and completed accurately and on time.
This position involves working under tight deadlines and assisting financial controller.
Role & Responsibilities :
- Oversee, audit, and manage general administrative functions, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, general ledger, and taxes.
- Provide consistent, fair, and firm leadership.
- Coach, train, and mentor staff to achieve departmental KPIs.
- Examine and analyze journal ledger entries, bank statements, expenditures, GST and PST filings, and other accounting and financial records.
- Maintain and monitor staff holidays, tracking them in a spreadsheet.
- Update, manage, analyze, and track administrative reports and records.
- Collect and provide information for audit inquiries and assist accountants.
- Lead all administrative, financial and payroll functions.
Qualifications & Requirements :
- Proven ability to lead a team and manage behavior change.
- Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in administration and / or accounting.
- Open to learning new technology.
- Must have cost management experience.
- Knowledge of Great Plains software is an asset.
- Proficient in data entry and management.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- High degree of accuracy with a keen eye for detail.
- Self-motivated with strong multitasking, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong interpersonal abilities.
Salary & Schedule :
- $80K-$100K Yearly
- Full-time Role, Monday to Friday
