Our client is seeking an experienced LAA or paralegal to work in wills and estates in their downtown Vancouver office. If you are a senior / experienced LAA or a paralegal looking to move to a large firm with benefits, this may be a great opportunity for you!
Responsibilities include and are not limited to :
- Draft and orchestrating probate applications with minimal supervision
- Draft estate planning documents
- Investigate or search for relevant information from or in coordination with executors, administrators, banks, the PGT, skip tracers, and more
Qualifications :
- 4+ years as an LAA or paralegal
- Recognized LAA certificate or paralegal diploma
- Experience in Wills and Estates litigation (notice of disputes, certificates of pending litigation, mediation, and more)
- Experience in basic Land Title Office submissions
- Experience in Passing of Account applications
- Ability to interpret and apply Wills, Estates and Succession Act, Estate Administration Act, Supreme Court Rules, Trustee Act, and more
