- Carry out engineering projects based on IEC 61850 standards for digital power systems
- Play various roles, such as project leader and proposal leader
- Prepare competitive and value-added proposals
- Design protection diagrams (logic and control diagrams)
- Design substation HMI / SCADA architecture and configuration
- Configure smart electronic devices (relays, substation controllers, etc.)
- Direct testing at BBA’s digital power systems lab
- Commission digital power systems

Overview of certifications and job requirements
- University degree in engineering
- Five years of experience or more in the power systems sector
- Available to travel to BBA's office across Canada
- Available for short- and long-term assignments at client sites across Canada
- Asset : Bilingual (English and French)
- Knowledge of substation technology
- Knowledge of how to configure protection relays
- Asset : knowledge of the IEC 61850 standard
- Asset : Knowledge of how to configure HMI / SCADA systems
- Asset : Knowledge of test equipment for protection relays
- Asset : graduate degree in electrical engineering or a related field
