Accounts Receivable Clerk
Our client, a longstanding industry leader, is in search of an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join their team in Dartmouth, NS.
This permanent position is ideal for someone with proven AR experience with the ability to jump into a busy role and contribute to a motivated and united team.
Key Responsibilities for the Job :
Prepare daily cheque deposits and process daily payment applications (cash, credit card online / EFT payments) Reconcile customer accounts Monitor and allocate unapplied cash Investigate charge backs and short payments Perform collections on overdue accounts Track and relay discrepancies to management and recommend high risk accounts Create and maintain customer accounts Liaise professional with customers via phone and email Other related duties as assigned
Experience & Attributes for Success :
Diploma in Business Administration with a focus in accounting, or similar post-secondary program / training 1 2 years’ experience in a similar, busy AR-focused role Proficiency in MS Office Suite and the ability to learn new programs quickly Strong attention to detail with quick and accurate data entry skills Ability to process high volumes of data in a timely manner Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact positively and effectively with both customers and other internal departments Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment Bilingualism (English / French) is not a requirement but would be considered an asset
