Company Introduction

IHT Group manufactures energy efficient heating, cooling and lighting equipment for the agricultural industry as well as plastic and fiberglass manufacturing for a wide range of industrial applications.

IHT Plastics, a new division of IHT Group, plans to supply multiple industries with its advanced plastic and fiberglass manufacturing capabilities.

Specializing in compression molding, thermoforming, fiberglass layup and casting, IHT Plastics offers high-quality, customized parts and products for the agricultural, marine, RV and automotive sectors.

Position Overview

The Technical Sales Representative is a key player in driving business growth within a new market. They will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities while maintaining positive relationships with customers and vendors.

They will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of our product and its features to market to potential customers, while driving sales and generating leads.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Introduce products from our new IHT Plastics branch to customers.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Ontario, North and South Dakota.
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with customers and maximize sales.
  • Provide technical knowledge and expertise to customers to effectively market our products.
  • Research new technologies and products to increase IHT offerings and access industry requirements.
  • Regularly follow up with customers after deals to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Generate customer quotes.
  • Utilize the CRM and additional tools to organize, focus, measure, and monitor sales.
  • Participate in product trade shows, international shows, and industry events.
  • Travel as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in technical sales.
  • Post-secondary education in a technical field is an asset.
  • Post-secondary education or experience in project management is an asset.
  • Customer-focused, with excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
  • Self-motivated individual with a results-driven approach.
  • Proficient in Office 365 including Outlook and Teams.
  • Valid drivers license and vehicle is required.

Salary

The salary ranges from $50,000 to $52,000 per year plus commission.
