Job Description
Dr. David Moher is seeking a Research Associate to support his work with the Core Knowledge Synthesis Program of The Brain-Heart Interconnectome (BHI). This innovative interdisciplinary research program aims to accelerate the prevention, detection, treatment, and care of brain-heart disorders and is funded by a $109 million grant from the Canada First Research Excellence Fund (CFREF). The Research Associate will be responsible for updating the CONSORT reporting guideline for pragmatic trials and developing a new reporting guideline, SPIRIT, for pragmatic trials. This role will involve conducting a scoping review, facilitating a series of Delphi processes, and organizing a virtual meeting with approximately 30 participants. Working within a multi-disciplinary team, the incumbent will coordinate the processes and provide active assistance in developing both reporting guidelines.
The successful candidate will receive training in Open Science and Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (EDIA).
Job duties will include, but not be limited to :
- Conducting background literature reviews
- Assisting with preparing research ethics application materials
- Supporting and / or conducting surveys and interviews
- Project event planning (including knowledge translation activities such as virtual events and research presentations)
- Helping prepare manuscripts for publication.
