POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking an Assembler 2 to join our team. This position is responsible for the assembly, the visual inspection, the testing and the packing of the electronic locks as per established instructions.

PRIMARY DUTIES

• Prepare the assembly station as per requested on the production order slip
• Assemble the locks by positioning the parts per assembly instructions, by hand or with manual or electric tools, such as a screwdriver
• Test and verify that the lock works properly as per specifications
• Repair the defective locks by reassembling them or by replacing some of the parts
• Identify the defective components and complete the reject report
• Report difficulties and malfunctions or deviations on the assembly line
• Pack the locks
• Prepare sub-assemblies if needed

REQUIREMENTS

• High school degree (a must)
• Proficient manual dexterity and visual acuity (essential)
• Fast paced
• Demonstrate proficiency in a variety of assembly procedures
• Experience in assembly of many complex and diverse products
• Multitasked
• Able to use a pneumatic screwdriver
• Computer literacy (data entry)
• Team spirit
• Opened to cross training
• English or French

APERÇU DU POSTE

dormakaba est à la recherche d'un Assembleur 2 pour rejoindre son équipe. Ce poste est responsable de l'assemblage, de l'inspection visuelle, du test et de l'emballage des serrures électroniques selon les instructions établies.

FONCTIONS PRINCIPALES

• Préparer le poste d’assemblage tel que requis par le bon de commande de production
• Assembler les serrures en positionnant les pièces, selon les instructions d’assemblage, à la main et à l’aide d’outils manuels ou électriques, tel tournevis
• Tester et vérifier le bon fonctionnement de la serrure selon les spécifications
• Réparer les serrures défectueuses en les réassemblant ou en remplaçant certaines pièces mécaniques
• Identifier les composantes défectueuses et remplir le rapport de rejet
• Signaler, s’il y a lieu, toute difficulté, défectuosité ou déviation sur la ligne d’assemblage
• Emballer les serrures
• Préparer des sous-assemblages s’il y a lieu

EXIGENCES

• Secondaire 5 (obligatoire)
• Dextérité manuelle et acuité visuelle (essentielle)
• Rapidité d’exécution
• Démontrer des compétences dans les diverses procédures d’assemblage
• Avoir de l’expérience en assemblage de produits complexes et variés
• Multitâches
• Capacité d’utiliser un tournevis pneumatique
• Connaissance en informatique (entrée de données)
• Esprit d'équipe
• Ouvert à la formation en rotation
• Français ou Anglais
