Who We Are
Squamish Nation consists of 23 villages and is comprised of descendants of the Coast Salish Aboriginal people who live in the present-day Greater Vancouver area, Gibson's Landing, and Squamish River watershed.
The Squamish Nation has occupied and governed the territory since beyond recorded history. The Squamish Nation's culture is rich and resilient.
We continue to practice our customs and traditions, which are strongly interconnected with our traditional territory. Together with our lands, our customs and traditions are the foundations of who we are as Skwxwú7mesh.
As an organization, we provide support to the greater Squamish Nation Community through service. With 14 departments with individual areas of expertise, we ensure Squamish people have access to necessary programs and services.
About The Opportunity
Working as an integral part of the Division K'iyaxan Ch'awch'aw - Community Services and Nexwniwmamin Ch'awch'aw- Territory & Culture Services, reporting directly to Executive Directors of two Divisions, the Executive Director of Community Services and the Executive Director of Territory & Culture Services, the Executive Assistant will act as their right-hand person, including providing confidential support on all aspects of their daily operations.
This position is constantly one-step ahead, anticipating needs and keeping the Executive Directors informed. The Executive Directors oversee the work of each Director and department within the division.
The Executive Assistant will coordinate the flow of information inside the division and with other departments, and external partners.
The position will also deal extensively with communicating with community Members and staff. This role requires an individual who works independently and with minimal direction to balance priorities and meet deadlines and, who is adaptable, diplomatic, resourceful, and able to manage multiple tasks with confidence.
This Executive Assistant should be passionate about contributing to the greater good of the Squamish Nation community.

Salary : $ 76,499 - $ 85,634 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits program
