Whatyou canexpect :
Wecurrently have an opening in the Langley office for a CorporateLegal Administrative Assistant. This role requires an individualwho is organized effective at multitasking and detail oriented withstrong communication and people skills.
Dependingon experience and knowledge the core responsibilities of the rolewill be but not limitedto :
- Performingconflict searches opening files completing clientidentification / verification and preparing retainerletters;
- Maintainingand organizing files anddocuments;
- Formattingdocuments;
- Tasksrelated to commercial transactions including but not limitedto :
- coordinatingelectronicsignatures;
- attendingto closings andpayouts;
- Preparingtrust deposits trust cheque requests trust transfers investmentdeposits and redemptions billing and generating monthly WIP and ARReports;
- Sendingand receiving letters with or without enclosures as well as with orwithoutcourier;
- Calendarorganization for lawyers including scheduling telephone videoconference and inperson client meetings booking boardrooms andsetting up virtual meetings using Zoom and Teams;and
- Otheradministrative duties asrequired.
Whatyou bring to thetable :
- Minimum3 years of experience as an LAA in a busy corporatepractice
- ALegal Administrative Assistant certificate from an accreditedpostsecondaryinstitution
- Familiaritywith DocuSign andmyLTSA
- Strongorganizational skills and attention todetail
- Excellentoral and written communicationskills
- Abilityto handle a high volume of work in a fast pacedenvironment
- Abilityto work independently and in a teamenvironment
Thetypical salary range for this position is $52000 $72000. The basepay offered may vary depending on jobrelated skills / knowledgeexperience and internal and marketequity.
