About You
You are a Canadian immigration lawyer with a strong interest in immigration advocacy. You have a growing understanding of immigration law and policy and the ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment.
You are attentive to detail and possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and are a motivated self-starter.
You care about your clients and take pride in acting in their best interests and obtaining results efficiently.
What to expect at BLG PC
- Depending upon the Department in which you work some of the duties would entail :
- Conducting client consultations.
- Determine course of action and work with other immigration lawyers and support staff to complete applications and prepare submission packages for all categories of immigration matters in your area of expertise.
- Client advocacy.
- Manage client files from intake to decision with the client and the relevant government agency.
- Ongoing research and client problem solving.
- Written and oral pleadings before Courts and Tribunals.
- Legal Research and writing.
- Policy advocacy.

- Minimum Qualifications
- Knowledge of immigration law and litigation procedures
- Proficient in research
- Comfortable with technology and productivity software
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail

- Ability to work independently.
- Ontario Call and immigration experience is a plus.
