Job Summary
As a Maintenance Mechanical Engineer you will play a crucial role in the handson diagnosis repair and overhaul of various types of rotating equipment contributing significantly to our cuttingedge energy companys operations.
Responsibilities :
- Provide technical support for the repair and overhaul of rotating equipment including dismantling diagnosing assembling testing and issuing related technical reports.
- Offer technical consultation to Shops Operating Repair Units and Contractor Shops.
- Support field installation maintenance and repair of rotating equipment.
- Troubleshoot repair and modify existing equipment while identifying cost reductions and process improvements.
- Prepare design engineering packages for rotating equipment.
- Conduct technical investigations for shop repair return jobs to identify root causes corrective actions and lessons learned.
- Introduce and apply the latest technology in repair methodology.
- Develop and revise the departments technical procedures and standards.
- Mentor and share knowledge with junior engineers quality inspectors and technicians.
- Provide technical input for purchasing specifications and evaluate technical proposals.
- Collaborate with department engineers Consulting Services Department (CSD) other company departments and manufacturers.
- Coordinate with InHouse Repair Units Quality Assurance units InKingdom Contractors vendors and manufacturers for shop repair work scopes.
- Participate in vendor and customer exchange meetings.
Requirements :
- This role required candidate to permanently relocate at Dhahran Saudi Arabia.
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 15 years of handson experience in the mechanical field particularly with rotating equipment.
- Proven experience in mechanical design troubleshooting and major repair of oil and gas rotating equipment such as gas compressors steam turbines pumps and gearboxes.
- Experience in an original equipment manufacturing facility or a certified repairing facility for steam turbines gas compressors and diesel engines.
- Excellent English reading and writing skills.
