The Opportunity
We are searching for a marketing professional and brand strategist to join our Public Affairs & Marketing team. As a vital part of the organization, this brand new position of Manager, Brand Strategy & Creative Services, is a leadership role that will have broad influence on BC Ferries' innovative brand strategies and creative campaigns.
As a Manager, Brand Strategy & Creative Services, you lead a team of creative professionals, collaborates with other internal departments on creative fulfillment for their projects, and ensures all brand communications are aligned with BC Ferries' brand guidelines and strategic objectives and positioning as an essential public service.
The Role
Reporting to the Director, Brand & Customer Experience, you add value and are energized by key areas of oversight such as :
- Developing and implementing comprehensive brand strategies that align with company goals, positioning as an essential public service, provides clear and consistent customer information, and drives market differentiation
- Overseeing the creative process, providing guidance and vision to the team to ensure high-quality, innovative outputs and clarity and consistency of materials that are customer centered
- Monitoring market trends, consumer insights, and competitive activities to inform and adjust branding strategies
- Planning and executing photo and video shoots and manages media asset inventory
- Ensuring all brand communications and materials are consistent with the brand's voice, style, and messaging guidelines, providing customers with a consistent brand experience
- Tracking and analysing the effectiveness of branding and creative initiatives, utilizing customer and stakeholder data to refine and improve future efforts
- Developing and maintaining BC Ferries' graphic standards and writing style guide
- Providing marketing support to other departments and divisions
- Training and coaching direct reports
- Maintaining a thorough understanding of key business initiatives, goals, and issues.
- Working closely with various departments and cross-functional working groups in support of projects and initiatives to integrate brand strategies across all customer touchpoints
What you bring to the team
- A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Advertising, Economics, or related discipline
- 7-9 years of previous success building, leading and coaching a team or department of experienced marketing and / or communication professionals in an evolving environment
- 7-9 years of experience with the proven ability to effect positive change within an organizational through the successful implementation of complex projects
- 7-9 years of experience with branding and communications leadership
- 7-9 years of previous brand management experience

Additional information
The target salary range : $121,800 - $152,200 per annum. The starting salary is determined based on the successful candidate's knowledge, experience and internal equity.
Starting salary may exceed the target range on exceptional basis.
