Senior Accountant - Food Manufacturing - Up to 100K

Our client, a Canadian company specializing in the Food Manufacturing industry is looking for a Senior Accountant to join its Montreal team.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Controller and in collaboration with the finance team, the Senior Accountant plays a key role in managing the company's financial and operational capital by participating in the preparation of financial statements and other financial reports.

Responsibilities :

• Oversee and manage the day-to-day accounting operations of the company.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with current accounting and tax standards.
• Collaborate with external auditors in the preparation of audits.
• Analyze financial trends and make recommendations to improve profitability.
• Participate in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
• Supervise and mentor the accounting team.
• All other related tasks

Qualifications

• CPA, a major asset
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role
• Ability to take initiative
• Be Bilingual (French and English) and have excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Demonstrate leadership
• Advanced Excel (Search V, Pivot Tables)
