Position Overview :
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Operations Manager / Plant Manager to oversee their plant and distribution center operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving operational efficiency, improving customer service levels, and ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations.
Specific Responsibilities :
Analyze operating and delivery procedures, systems, and schedules to identify potential efficiency improvements and cost-savings.
Define and assign responsibilities to supervisors and employees to maximize efficiency and productivity.
Conduct performance reviews for Operations Supervisors, support development plans, and provide coaching.
Ensure compliance with policies and practices related to employee / labour relations and promote strong employee engagement.
Monitor and improve customer service levels for all customers.
Maintain appropriate communications with all levels of the organization and ensure distribution center employees are aware of company progress and direction.
Administer policies and practices related to employee / labour relations, including union-management committees and grievance hearings.
Encourage the Six Sigma program of continuous improvement by identifying cost reduction or quality improvement initiatives.
Maintain vehicles, equipment, buildings, and property in accordance with company standards.
Oversee Automation equipment and processes in coordination with the Facility maintenance team and 3rd party vendor.
Ensure proper review, update, and audit of Security, Regulatory, and GMP policies and programs to ensure compliance.
Monitor health and safety practices within the workplace and ensure compliance with health and safety programs and audits. Position Qualifications :
Post-Secondary degree or minimum 8 years of experience in distribution, warehousing, or manufacturing environment.
Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is an asset.
Experience with automation is an asset.
Minimum 10 years of experience in a complex leadership capacity.
Labour Relations / Employee Relations experience.
Demonstrated experience with Six Sigma, Lean Principles, and process improvement.
Strong organization and tactical planning skills.
Ability to establish and analyze business metrics to effectively set targets and standards of performance.
Demonstrated change management, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
Flexible schedule requirements.
Ability to travel (minimal).
Strong communication and analytical skills (Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite). Base Pay Range :
