Experienced Remediation Technician – Kelowna

Compensation : $25 $30 / hour
Remediation Technician
When disasters happen, Remediation Technicians at On Side are truly on your side’. Asbestos and mould can pop-up anywhere and requires special knowledge and experience to deal with.
Remediation Technicians can perform remediation services while protecting the health and safety of workers and clients.
Remediation Technicians are responsible for :
- Ensuring a safe work area from asbestos and mould by knowing how to remove and remediate potential dangers from the work site
- Identifying and disposing of asbestos and mould contaminated materials
What you bring :
- 2+ years’ experience in abatement
- Disasters can strike at any time so availability to work a rotating On-Call schedule after work hours is a requirement
- Organized with a good sense of time you’re rarely late and know where all your tools are
- Physically fit remediation can, at times, include heavy lifting and getting into (and out of) tight places
- Friendly and enjoys working in a team!
- A safety-first mindset
- Disasters can strike at any time so must be available to partake in a rotating On Call schedule after hours
- Valid driver’s license and successful completion of criminal record process (we do check)
- Ability to communicate in English
Other stuff that will contribute to your success but isn’t required :
- BC Level 2 Certification an asset
- Asbestos remediation ticket
- A background in demolition
- Construction experience
