Global Functions Technology (GFT) is part of RBC’s Technology and Operations division. GFT’s impact is far-reaching as we collaborate with partners from across the company to deliver innovative and transformative IT solutions.
Our clients represent Risk, Finance, HR, CAO, Audit, Legal, Compliance, Financial Crime, Capital Markets, Personal and Commercial Banking and Wealth Management.
We also lead the development of digital tools and platforms to enhance collaboration.
As a Senior Manager with RBC Global Functions Technology, you will join a team that embraces diversity for innovation and growth.
You will be responsible for managing a team located in Vancouver to deliver solutions and integrations in the compliance domain.
The role reports to the head of compliance technology. It requires the successful candidate to learn the tooling and nurture the team skills necessary to deliver solutions in the employee compliance space.
This includes control room, conflicts of interest and employee disclosures.
What will you do?
Manage a team of analysts and consultants to deliver compliance solutions for an application suite in the employee compliance space
Work with vendors to ensure appropriate documentation and process clarity is in place.
Deploy solutions together with the team and build an internal culture of innovation, growth and value
Assign work to the team, assess progress and performance
Represent the team progress in senior reporting forums
Drive team growth and manage training plans
Contribute to full understanding of the problem and desired value of an initiative, and ensure that as the project progresses, that the benefits are realized.
Assess the organizational change impact to people, processes, and systems, and support the integration of these changes into the RBC landscape.
What do you need to succeed?
Must have :
Curiosity and drive, desire to coach
5+ years of project and people management experience
Strong collaboration skills and the ability to build healthy working relationships.
Excellent communication skills, including active listening, negotiation, facilitation.
Deep problem-solving skills, bringing order from ambiguity.
Nice-to-have :
Compliance experience and knowledge in a large institution
Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP).
PMP, CSPO, CSM
Proven experience in transformational initiatives
