About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and measuring the profit and loss (P&L) for our vendor line. You will work to forecast, analyze inventory, and manage vendor relationships.

Your role will involve understanding and aligning with vendors' needs and strategic objectives, as well as analyzing market data to identify trends and business growth opportunities.

This role specifically focuses on managing and driving the company's Smart Home initiative, primarily in the retail channel.

You will collaborate closely with sales, recruit new vendors, and expand our services and capabilities in this market.

What You'll Do :

Monitor and measure P&L for vendor line, offering recommendations for improvement by continuously evaluating financial performance.

Aim to meet or exceed monthly revenue targets, Net Gross Margin %, and Net Gross Margin dollars.

Identify operational improvements and revenue growth potential, making relevant recommendations.

Prepare and analyze forecasts and inventory, developing accurate predictions for vendor products or services.

Act as an operational escalation point for vendor lines, proactively identifying and resolving challenges or bottlenecks.

Collaborate with sales representatives to develop effective strategies for promoting vendor products.

Assist with customer inquiries, pricing, and negotiations related to vendor offerings.

Build and maintain relationships with vendors at an intermediate level, negotiating terms, resolving disputes, and fostering positive partnerships.

Analyze market data to identify trends and opportunities, creating reports and presentations based on data-driven insights.

What We're Looking For

3 to 5 years of relevant work experience.

Strong data entry skills.

Demonstrated ability in complex problem solving, critical thinking, and decision-making.

Attention to detail with accuracy and efficiency.

Proficiency in creating and conducting formal presentations.

Effective communication and collaboration with individuals across diverse backgrounds.

Interact effectively with higher levels of management (managers & above).

Build solid, effective working relationships with others.

Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Manage multiple tasks efficiently and work independently with minimal supervision.

Thrive in high-pressure environments, handling high workloads and deadlines effectively.

Quick learner / adaptor to new systems and technologies.
