Located in Surrey with easy access off Hwy #1, our very successful client is in growth mode and has asked for our exclusive assistance.
An internal transfer within the group, as well as organic growth have created the need for a Controller. Our client is extremely flexible and will consider several profiles, with our deliverable being a super-star CPA with relevant experience and a great can-do attitude.
We need someone ready to run with this and make it their own.
This role is both technical accounting, analysis, and process improvements all rolled into one. There is no limit to how far you can take this and how much you can both learn and contribute.
Ideally you have strong experience in all facets of senior level full cycle accounting responsibilities including financial statement preparation, as well as a great command of Excel and modelling.
You will enjoy working with a good-sized accounting team and assisting the junior & intermediate accountants with their career growth.
In addition, you enjoy interacting with your peers, management and the local General Managers for this highly regarded company.

Job Requirements :
- A change agent with a great attitude and amazing work ethic are non-negotiable.
- A Canadian CPA designation strongly preferred, with consideration given to late-stage CPA students with solid construction industry experience.
- A minimum of 2+ year of post designation experience with 5+ years of total progressive experience strongly preferred.
- Solid full cycle accounting, cost accounting & financial reporting experience.
- Experience preferably in the construction or manufacturing industries would be ideal.
- Experience with an ERP system is an asset, and implementation experience is even better!
- Passion for change and improvements.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and modelling skills.
- Very strong written & verbal English communications skills.
- Customer service mentality.
