We are presently looking for a Maintenance Supervisor on the day shift for our maintenance division of Royalmount. The Supervisor leads and supervises a team of hourly employees working on day and weekend shifts.
Manages the team in an environment conducive to achieving objectives in compliance with Quality and OHS standards. Ensures a link with occupational health and safety resources and the maintenance team (monthly report follow-up, corrective actions, inspection tours, etc.
Responsible for achieving budgetary results for all cost centers. Analyzes non-conformities (existing and potential), seeks solutions, implements corrective measures, and recommends global or preventive solutions (CAPA, audits, investigations).
Tasks & responsibilities :
- Ensures that preventive and corrective work is planned, executed, well documented within the set deadlines, and in compliance with quality standards.
- Estimates and allocates repair expenses and parts purchases to respect authorized budgets.
- Participates in plant validation projects.
- Collaborates with various departments on different improvement / investment projects.
- Completes requests for preventive and corrective actions before the due date.
- Proactive in seeking solutions to ensure equipment reliability and cost optimization, and participates in various continuous improvement projects.
- Evaluates and completes personnel evaluation documents for his team on time.
- Receives emergency calls on the cellphone during evenings, nights, and weekends and coordinates work with responsible employees : Assesses the urgency of the situation.
Tries to resolve the situation remotely.Contacts the qualified resource person for the required intervention.
- Conducts weekly and / or monthly meetings with his team.
- Ensures the application of health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Actively participates in investigations indirectly or directly related to his service.
- Participates in interviews during the hiring of personnel.
- Respects budgets, proposes improvements to reduce costs, and assists the director in preparing annual budgets.
- Participates in equipment purchases.
- Participates in various audits.
Skills, knowledge and abilities :
- Autonomous and accountable, attention to detail, skilled in personnel supervision.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and safety.

- Good knowledge in mechanics, pneumatics, and electricity.
- Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office and SAP)
