Group Travel Planner

Pay : from $34,000 per year
Ellison Travel & Tours is seeking a keen and enthusiastic individual who would like to join the Ellison team as a Group Travel Planner.
The Role :
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing customized cultural, educational, and specialized tour programs for groups within Canada, to the USA and internationally.
The Group Travel Planner provides a high level of customer service, must work well under pressure and be a team-focused individual with the ability to adapt and support change.

Qualifications
- College diploma or related experience well suited to a travel agent or meeting / event planner
- Travel-related experience or knowledge of the industry an asset.
- Flexibility to work hours including evenings and weekends as needed during peak tour season.
- A background check is required due to the nature of our business working with Minors.
- Accounting experience is an asset.
- Ability to build client confidence and ensure commitments to clients are met, demonstrating excellence in customer service.
- Technological proficiency including MS office, and ability to adapt quickly to changing technology is important in this role.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to accuracy, detail and compliance
- Learning and growth mindset is essential to success in this role.
