The Opportunity :

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Physical Education Teacher who is enthusiastic about changing the face of education through a progressive, holistic approach.

This role is not just about teaching sports; it’s about mentoring young minds to appreciate and engage in a lifelong journey of physical activity and well-being.

What You Will Do :

• Lead dynamic physical education classes for combined grade groups (K-1, 2-3, 4-5, 6-7, 8), focusing on a diverse range of sports and activities.
• Design curriculum that integrates daily physical activities with overall educational goals, promoting physical fitness and wellness as key components of student development.
• Collaborate with external specialists to provide a broad spectrum of activities, including gymnastics, yoga, martial arts, and more.
• Actively participate in the wider school community, contributing to our holistic educational approach and supporting other academic areas as needed.
• Document and assess student progress, adapting educational strategies to meet individual needs and support all-round development.

What You Will Bring :

• A Bachelor of Education, preferably with a specialization in Physical Education. A Bachelor of Science or related field is a plus.
• Certification from the B.C. Ministry of Education, with at least 1 year of experience in teaching physical education at the elementary level.
• A deep commitment to progressive education and a passion for teaching physical wellness.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage students, parents, and colleagues.
• Proficiency in Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets) for educational management and communication.
