The E-Volunteer’s Role

As a Research Advisor, you will support Asociación Kallpa’s research on the socioeconomic inclusion of young people with disabilities in Peru. Working remotely with the Kallpa team, you will help refine the research approach, improve data collection tools, support data organization and analysis, and strengthen the final report so findings can inform inclusive programming and decision-making.

As an e-volunteer, you will support the organization through the following activities:

  • Review the research project and recommend improvements to the methodology, scope, and alignment with project objectives.
  • Refine data collection tools, such as surveys, interviews, or focus group guides, to ensure they are clear, inclusive, and accessible.
  • Guide the Kallpa team on ethical, consistent, and inclusive use of research instruments.
  • Support a simple database or data organization framework for managing and analyzing findings.
  • Advise on interpreting results and identifying key insights related to disability inclusion and youth employment.
  • Review the draft report and provide feedback to strengthen clarity, recommendations, and practical use.

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, anthropology, sociology, international development, disability studies, public policy, or a related field.
  • Advanced Spanish skills, including the ability to review technical documents and provide written feedback.

Essential Background:

  • Experience with social research, ideally related to disability inclusion, youth employment, socioeconomic inclusion, gender equality, or community development.
  • Experience with research methods, data collection tools, data analysis, database development, or results reporting.
  • Ability to provide constructive remote guidance and collaborate across cultures and time zones.
