At Sinai Health, we care, create possibilities and offer hope. We are looking for a Therapy Porter to support our Central Dispatch - Therapy department. Job Type : TEMPORARY PART TIME (approximately 6 months) Job Outline : The Therapy Porter is a key member of the Central Dispatch Therapy team. Primary duties include : Provide transportation support to and from clinic appointments, assigned therapy programs and events. Transport patient to and from dialysis suites (5 p.m. and 9 p.m, dialysis) Labs / Pharmacy / gurney / other patient package deliveries Other duties as assigned Education & Qualifications : Grade 10 education or equivalent Be able to meet the physical demands of the position : constant standing and walking, power gripping; be able to push and pull frequently up to 20 lbs, and occasionally up to 50 lbs Be able to work with patients, clinical and non-clinical staff from different units Ability to work in a team environment to ensure timely transportation of patients for their appointments Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to adapt easily to change Demonstrated satisfactory job performance and attendance history required Employment at Sinai Health is conditional upon the verification of credentials, completion of a health review, and demonstrating proof of immunity and vaccination status of vaccine-preventable diseases.
