ROLE OVERVIEW (this is NOT a digital transformation Business Analyst role)
As a Business Analyst, you'll be pivotal in improving business processes and services through business and operational data analysis. Your responsibilities will span from market analysis to developing savings proposals and equipment performance trending that will identify problems, opportunities and data-driven solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define and create business reports with internal customers and assess how to deliver and manage through development, testing, sign-off, documentation, roll out and training.
- Responsible for ensuring that both standard and ad-hoc reports meet the requirements of stakeholders, are high quality and delivered on time.
- Develop unit reports and calculate profit / loss on sales, service and marketing activities.
- Analyze the financial performance of equipment in the program, recommend service solutions and report on general equipment performance.
- Conduct regular meetings with key users to review existing reports and business needs, assess gaps, identify data issues, and identify areas for improvement.
- Create and manage dynamic scorecards and dashboards.
- Analyze and recommend service solutions based on equipment performance metrics.
- Analyze new equipment areas for business expansion possibilities.
- Craft savings proposals that support the sales team.

Requirements
WORK EXPERIENCE & ACCOMPLISHMENTS -An exceptional analytical background with experience designing and developing data analytic solutions in a project-oriented environment. -Experience owning the entire analysis process, from management interaction to developing the needed reports. -Industry experience or knowledge in sales or customer service, preferably in the medical equipment industry. -A general understanding of user training and service contract management would be beneficial. SKILLS & COMPETENCIES -Technical aptitude with reporting tools such as CRM and business objects. -Microsoft Dynamics 365 proficiency and experience using the application for data manipulation, analysis, and charting are preferred. -Multiple years of Power BI (or equivalent) experience. Advanced Excel skills and the ability to conduct cost / benefit analysis. -Innovative thinking and problem-solving skills. -Passion for using modelling techniques and methods to drive continuous improvement. -Ability to determine downstream effects of process changes. Strong communication and collaboration skills with a customer-centric mindset. OTHER -Must reside within the Greater Toronto-Hamilton area
