Job Description
Willowbrae Academy is seeking a Vice President of Operations to join our growing corporate team.
The ideal candidate is an ambitious individual to lead our operations and oversee franchise
development. Reporting to the CEO, the Vice President of Operations will play a pivotal role in
driving operational excellence, supporting franchisees, and ensuring compliance with childcare
standards, all while fostering a collaborative and innovative culture aligned with Willowbrae
Academy’s mission and values.
Core Responsibilities
Leadership and Strategy
Oversee Willowbrae Academy’s operations, operational strategy and day-to-day
management of franchise locations, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
Collaborate with senior leadership, including the VP of Finance and VP of Construction, to
support growth initiatives, operational readiness, and financial alignment.
Foster a culture of accountability and innovation within the team, leading and mentoring
direct reports and key department leaders.
Operational Excellence
Implement scalable systems and processes to optimize franchise operations and promote
brand consistency.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational success
and identify areas for improvement.
Orchestrate an effective working framework that fosters collaboration among Business
Development Managers, key department leaders, and franchisees.
Continuously monitor performance and implement improvements that support the success of
franchise operations.
Regular Compliance and Quality Assurance
Ensure all locations meet or exceed provincial and federal childcare regulations,
collaborating closely with the Director of Quality Assurance.
Lead and coordinate efforts to support franchisees during regulatory audits and inspections,
offering guidance and resources to proactively address compliance issues.
Community and Stakeholder Engagement
Build strong relationships with licensing agencies, government bodies, and local
communities to enhance Willowbrae Academy’s reputation and influence.
Represent Willowbrae Academy at industry events and community initiatives, strengthening
the organization’s visibility and partnerships.
Technology and Innovation
Drive adoption of technology solutions that support operational efficiency and franchisee
success.
Oversee the development and enhancement of all internal and proprietary software at
Willowbrae Academy to streamline operations and enhance user experience.

Qualifications and Skills
Extensive experience in senior operations management, preferably in multi-unit or franchise-
based organizations.
Proven success in leading and mentoring teams, driving operational efficiency, and
achieving business objectives.
Strong strategic planning and problem-solving skills, with a focus on process improvement
and organizational growth.
Familiarity with compliance and regulatory standards in service-oriented industries
experience in childcare or education is a bonus).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships
with franchisees, stakeholders, and government agencies.
A bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, or a related field is preferred
but not required.
