Commissioned British Columbia Land Surveyor or Senior Technician
Location : Langley, BC
Salary : $104,499 - $124,499 plus attractive benefit package
Overview :
We are in search of a Commissioned BC Land Surveyor or Senior Land Survey Technician for our well established and growing client.
The successful candidate will play a key role in conducting a diverse range of land surveying projects, including topographic surveys, single-family homes, subdivisions, building layouts, townhouses, and high-rise strata developments.
This role offers the opportunity to engage in complex and varied assignments that are critical to the planning and execution of both residential and commercial construction projects across the region.
Must Haves :
- Knowledge and experience with TDS Survey Pro data collection software and Leica total stations.
- Proficiency in MicroSurvey CAD programs.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to seamlessly manage multiple clients and projects.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Nice to Haves :
- Experience with project management in a surveying context.
- At least 2 years of experience in land surveying within the Lower Mainland.
- Familiarity with the local regulatory environment and permitting processes.
- Ability to mentor and provide guidance to junior team members.
- Experience working on a diverse range of projects including urban and rural environments.
Responsibilities :
- Define project tasks for survey staff and oversee their completion.
- Oversee the preparation of survey plans and ensure calculations are accurate.
- Manage the invoicing process to ensure timely and accurate billing.
- Provide leadership, direction, and support to the project team.
- Oversee quality assurance and control processes to ensure high standards of work.
- Complete project evaluations and assessments of results.
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders, representing the company in a professional manner.
