Position Overview :

As the Procurement and Project Controls Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing all aspects of contracts management, procurement processes, and project controls for our construction projects. Your expertise will ensure efficient and effective project execution while adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities :

• Manage procurement (RFQs, RFPs, and tenders) :
• Preparation :  Develop and implement effective procurement strategies considering the specific needs of the project. This includes identifying potential suppliers, preparing tender documents, and ensuring that all technical specifications are clearly defined and comply with industry standards.
• Publication :  Ensure the adequate dissemination of tenders to qualified suppliers. Coordinate communication with suppliers to ensure they fully understand the project requirements and evaluation criteria.
• Assist the PMO in the review and assessment of proposals and tenders :  Work closely with the Project Management Office (PMO) to review the received proposals, ensuring they meet technical, financial, and operational criteria. Provide informed recommendations for the selection of suppliers.
• Review contracts :  Perform a thorough analysis of contracts to ensure that all terms and conditions are clear and fair for all parties. Identify and mitigate potential risks related to contractual terms.
• Project controls : Control schedules and budgets
• Review budgets prepared by quantity surveyors :  Examine the budget estimates and financial forecasts provided by quantity surveyors. Ensure that budgets are realistic, aligned with the project objectives, and incorporate adequate contingency margins for unforeseen events.
• Review contractor change orders and claims :  Analyze in detail the change orders proposed by contractors to evaluate their financial and temporal impact. Review contractors' claims to ensure they are justified and comply with contractual terms.
• Control budgets :  Monitor cost developments throughout the project, comparing actual expenditures with planned budgets. Propose corrective measures in the case of significant deviations to keep the project within budgetary limits.
• Prepare and control schedules :  Develop detailed schedules for each phase of the project, ensuring that all activities are properly sequenced and that necessary resources are available. Monitor the project's progress against the established schedule and adjust plans as needed to prevent delays.
