Access Control Point - Part Time

We are accepting applications for the position of Access Control Point (ACP) guard who provide access to the Restricted Area of the Airport.

Job Description

• Provide access and egress into and out of the restricted area for both passengers and employees according to the company's policies and procedures.
• Prevent unauthorized and backflow access into restricted areas.
• Control access to restricted areas through verification of RAIC (Restricted Area Identity Card).
• Ensure adherence to block pass requirements for individuals accessing the restricted area while escorting.
• Ensure goods entering comply with the Secure Supply Chain Security program.
• Enforce Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) regulations and directives.
• Report emergency situations to the Security Operations Centre (SOC) or Airport Operations Centre (AOC).
• Issue block passes and vehicle plates upon request by the Airport Authority.
• Inspect vehicles entering the restricted area for unauthorized individuals and verify valid entitlement documents for each occupant.
• Report program, security, or customs violations to the SOC.
• Facilitate the opening and closing of access control posts.
• Provide customer service to both passengers and employees.
• Maintain a clear understanding of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Perform other duties as directed by the Shift Supervisor or their designate.
