Job description

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

  • Ticketed Journeyman with 10+ years of experience in their field.
  • 5+ years direct supervision, inspecting and QC experience.
  • Posses advanced troubleshooting and communication skills to solve complex problems.
  • Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective safety operations for the protecting of people, data, property, and institutions.
  • Possesses great time management skills
  • Ability to work for 8+ hours at a time in an environment where temperatures may reach from 0 to 60° C, both indoors and outdoors in the sun.
  • Work in an environment in which vibrations and noise are moderate to severe and noise level may require the wearing of hearing protection devices.
  • Work in confined spaces for 4-7 hours per day; stand or walk for long periods.
  • Climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolding at extreme heights.
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
  • Maintain footing on surfaces which are sometimes slippery.
  • See well (naturally or with correction) and distinguish colors.
  • Hear well (naturally or with hearing aid).
  • Ability to excel in a fast pace and diverse environment

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

  • Supervise QC Leads.
  • Ensures that work is performed in accordance with Contractor Specifications and / or as directed by the Contractor’s Representative.
  • Performs Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) (including inspection and documentation) of the work throughout all phases of the project.
  • Keeps up-to-date, accurate QC / work reports, and ensuring that reports are properly reported per the Contractor Specifications.
  • Examines and inspects work progress to verify that specifications are met.
  • Reads specifications, such as blueprints and data, to determine construction requirements.
  • Records information on specified forms and reports.
  • Audit compliance to key quality processes and procedures.
  • Collect and report key continuous improvement initiatives within the project.
  • Be the point of contact for all third party, customer, and audit authorities involved with the compliance and / or auditing of Brock’s QA / QC programs.
  • Assist in the development of work execution practices and procedures related to the all Brock services including scaffolding, insulation, fireproofing, asbestos abatement, blasting & coating, etc.
  • Assist with the management of Brock Canada’s ISO 9001 QA Certification.
  • Participate in overall Continuous Improvement initiatives as set out by the Director, Business Operations

  • Design Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
