Why We Need You :

As the Flooring Solutions Specialist , you will play a key role in providing our customers with the ultimate Ames experience. What does this entail? Being a key resource for our customers with your product expertise and supporting the purchasing process from start to finish.

The successful candidate is energetic, positive, and a dynamic individual with a strong tile and customer service background, excellent interpersonal skills and is looking to grow their sales skills. If this role sparks an interest, we want to hear from you!

What You'll Do :

• Provide a warm greeting to customers as they enter the building
• Responds to and processes customer orders, quote requests, and inquiries via phone and email
• Prompt, professional response and processing of incoming email communications
• Builds and maintains customer relationships
• Ensures accuracy when entering sales orders, and compliance of all outlined company policies and procedures
• Provides expert level information and recommendations on Ames product offerings
• Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate A&D Representatives or Outside Sales Representatives for further development and closure
• Works within Ames ERP system (business software management)
• Provide current pricing and quotes to customers when requested
• Accurately enter, update, and manage promise dates and open orders ensuring all products transferred to the Branch are required and will be picked up in a timely manner
• Deal with customer complaints and issues in a prompt, friendly and professional manner, bringing the issue to the appropriate decision maker to rectify the issue
• Clear instruction to customers picking up product on where to go and the process, efficiently connecting the customer with the Warehouse Team Members
• Keep workspace, showroom, and display areas clean and free of clutter and dust
• Handles cash transaction and giving back correct change
• Taking payments on accounts and filing paperwork
• Team player, always acting on Ames' best interest. Consistently provides an exceptional level of service for all internal and external customers
• Works cross-functionally with department teams including operations, sales, and showroom
