About this Opportunity :
We are seeking a Human Resources Consultant to join our Human Resources team at the University of Victoria. Our team is committed to working with our colleagues to create an equitable, diverse and inclusive community in support of the university’s vision.

Job Summary :
Reporting to the Director, the Human Resources Consultant will work closely with leaders, union representatives, and employees to ensure compliance with collective agreements, labour laws, and university policies and procedures. The position is a business partner and broad HR technical expert to support leaders as they implement organizational strategies and goals. The position works independently and is responsible for the development and cultivation of productive relationships to support the university’s people strategy and build an inclusive campus community.

Job Requirements :
University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration or a related field and five years of related work experience in a complex unionized organization, or an equivalent combination of education, experience and training.
