Position Summary : Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the Commercial Account Representative is a crucial team member of Avenir Energy. The successful candidate will demonstrate industry leading outside sales management skills to maximize revenue by creating, managing and implementing best-in-class sales development activities, acquiring / maintaining new accounts as well as retaining existing accounts to maximize growth. Key Responsibilities :
Achieve Commercial sales and margin sales targets for Commercial Propane business with approximately 80% of time prospecting for new business and 20% managing existing business
Work closely with operations and support functions to facilitate solutions for the customer
Track volumes, numbers and margins by reviewing sales reports
Keeps up-to-date and maintains understanding of propane codes, transportation tank regulations, federal and provincial guidelines for tank and petroleum storage and the company safety regulation
Performs various administrative duties, including preparing expense and commission reports using excel
Willingness to travel with some overnights required Qualifications and Skills :
3 or more years of commercial sales experience with a proven track record of success
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Formal sales training, either on the job or in formal courses
Industry and product-specific knowledge of propane an asset
Results-oriented, good attitude to prospect and identify opportunities for success
Experience in providing excellent customer service is required
Flexible, goal-oriented, time management and organization skills
Must be able to work independently
