  • Job Description :

    We are looking for a Construction Project Manager to lead multiple construction projects, mainly within the commercial and institutional sectors.

    Must Haves :

    • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and / or experience.
    • A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management with a focus on "ground up" commercial and institutional projects.
    • Strong competency in financial forecasting, budgeting, and contract negotiations
    • Proficiency in project management software and tools
    • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • Solid understanding of CCDC contracts, local building codes, legal regulations, and safety protocols.
    • Nice to Haves :

    • Professional certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP) is highly preferred.
    • Experience with sustainable building practices and certification processes such as Passive House, Net Zero and LEED.
    • Experience with mass timber, pre-fabricated and modular construction.
    • Knowledge of VDC (Virtual Design and Construction) and BIM (Building Information Modelling) software and coordination.
    • Responsibilities :

    • Oversee the management of multiple construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for project engineering teams, providing technical and administrative guidance
    • Conduct comprehensive constructibility reviews and coordinate with pre-construction teams to develop accurate project estimates
    • Engage in bid levelling, scope reviews, and contract awards, maintaining a competitive and fair tendering process
    • Foster professional relationships with architects, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure collaborative project progression
    • Monitor project execution plans and quality control measures to maintain high standards of construction
    • Participate actively in the startup of each project, maintaining oversight of project procedures
    • Lead project staff resourcing meetings, ensuring adequate and skilled resource allocation
    • Uphold rigorous safety, ethics, and compliance standards throughout all phases of each project
    • Regularly review and report on project progress against the master schedule and make adjustments as needed
    • Fulfill additional duties and responsibilities, as required, to meet organizational and project objectives
