Office equipment and computer provided Profile We are looking for someone with the following profile to become Business Development Manager Skills And Professional Experience Degree in chemistry, engineering, materials science or related field
At least 10 years of experience in business development in a technical environment (functional additives, specialty chemicals, polymers, etc.)
Experience in prospecting and opening up new international markets
Experience in managing long sales cycles (3-5 years) for technical products and shorter cycles for more commercial solutions
Excellent negotiation and customer relationship management skills
Ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms and to work with multidisciplinary teams
Excellent written and spoken English
Knowledge of French (written and spoken) (an asset)
Experience in employee supervision (an asset)
Proficiency in digital tools and CRM (Microsoft Dynamics is an asset)
Knowledge of marketing (an asset)
Ability to prepare commercial contracts (an asset) Qualities Initiative

Good communication and interpersonal skills Responsibilities Under the supervision of the President, your responsibilities as Business Development Manager will include : Defining and implementing a prospecting and growth strategy by targeting high-potential markets
Identify, contact and qualify new customers and partners to develop the business portfolio
Ensure personalized follow-up of prospects and customers to maximize business opportunities
Participate in tradeshows and industry events to increase visibility and network
Coordinate with the technical team to help prospects evaluate and integrate products
Rigorously monitor product testing at customer sites and remove any technical obstacles
Develop and manage a distribution network adapted to the specificities of target markets
Design marketing actions to support prospecting and sales, and supervise the technical sales support specialist
Monitor market trends, analyze the competition and measure the performance of actions
Collaborate with management to refine overall strategy and ensure compliance with best practices Additional Information Flexible working hours (occasional evenings and weekends)
Frequent travel in North America and internationally (30% of your time)
Working hours based on the time zone of our head office in Windsor, Quebec (except in the case of travel)
