This position is responsible for providing leadership support and project management to Vehicle Applications Engineering Bids and SR groups as they proceed through the bid, pre-production and build processes. The position’s goal is to ensure that the engineering deliverables are provided on-time and meet and / or exceed customer requirements and expectations. The position will focus on data-driven problem solving, process and quality improvements.

Requirements

• Using CRM, bid tracker and schedules, support customer technical specification review, resolve technical issues, identified during bid and through pre production and production processes
• Meet or exceed customer specifications while meeting timing deadlines
• Review weight estimates, ensure curb weight targets are met and review customer technical specifications are met
• Collaborate with engineering groups to evaluate our corporate abilities and strategize proposals for customer meetings
• Using various formats report specification misses and VAE codes to leadership, focus on top issues and roadblocks and support management to improve overall processes
• Act as a liaison and facilitate cross functional communications as required with sales, design engineering, CPM and other departments
• Provide coaching, support and training of new VAE staff to ensure completion of deliverables
