Froude Management Inc. (FMI) is looking for an experienced Construction Superintendent for the ICI project. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and excellent organizational skills.
Responsibility
- Provide safety leadership through the implementation of our safety program and monitor the safety performance of the site team and subcontractors.
- Maintain client relationships and work with clients to meet their required specifications and standards through effective verbal and written communication and proper documentation
- The Superintendent is responsible for providing direction and leading and mentoring FMI staff in the field.
- Supervise and develop site team members through regular feedback; lead project foreman meetings; inspire and motivate site team and subcontractors to perform at their best.
- Monitor and maintain a high quality of workmanship and accountability of subcontractors.
- Review the budget and estimate with the Project Manager to understand the project; plan to avoid costly issues and project delays;
manage and track budget and cost; review the budget and the underlying estimate to understand the project.
Review documents and drawings accuracy; review and enforce subcontractor’s contracts and identify discrepancies in scopes of work;
advise the project team of potential problems, work interference, and schedule difficulties while assisting in resolving conflicts.
- The ability to create a project schedule using standard scheduling programs is preferred.
- Monitor company equipment and supplies to ensure the needed equipment is where it’s required.
- Identify the training needs of field staff, assist with training where qualified, and support apprenticeship programs as required.
