We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data analysis, statistical modelling, and data visualization, with a passion for uncovering insights that can drive improvements in customer engagement, sales, and operational efficiency.

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing customer behaviour, trends in product preferences, and inventory performance to inform strategic decision-making across various departments within the organization.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end data analysis process, from data collection and cleansing to statistical modelling and interpretation of results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, merchandising, and operations, to identify business requirements and translate them into data analysis tasks.
  • Develop and maintain robust data pipelines leveraging Snowflake database to ensure the availability and quality of data for analysis.
  • Utilize Looker visualization platform to create compelling data visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights and findings to stakeholders.
  • Proactively explore data to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies in customer behaviour, sales performance, and inventory management, driving actionable insights for business improvement.
  • Design and implement predictive models, machine learning algorithms, and other advanced analytical techniques to forecast demand, optimize pricing, and personalize the shopping experience.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to other members of the data analysis team.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in data analysis and data science, with a focus on e-commerce and retail industry best practices.

Experience, Education & Designations

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a data analysis role, preferably in the e-commerce or retail industry.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and extraction with experience working with Snowflake database.
  • Experience with Looker or similar data visualization platforms.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

  • Strong programming skills in Python / R for data analysis and statistical modelling.
  • Solid understanding of statistical concepts and techniques, including regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and time series analysis.
  • Proven ability to work with large-scale datasets and structured / unstructured data sources.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong curiosity to uncover insights and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Certifications / Licences

Certification in data analysis or related field (e.g., Certified Analytics Professional, Google Data Analytics Certificate).
