We are looking to fill this position at our Brantford ON location servicing Southwestern Ontario.

Are you an experienced licenced Millwright looking for a rewarding career opportunity? ACi Industrial is seeking a dedicated and experienced Millwright Supervisor to lead dynamic teams in Industrial Agricultural Projects.

This role offers a great opportunity for leadership, with responsibilities that include overseeing projects, guiding crew members, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality.

This is a full-time position with immediate start availability. (This position is an on-site in-person only position, with no remote work option.)

Key Responsibilities :

  • Team Leadership : Supervise and mentor a team of Millwrights, ensuring high-quality work and adherence to safety standards.
  • Project Management : Oversee and coordinate on-site construction and service projects, ensuring timely completion.
  • Construction and Service : Strong record of on-site construction and service capability.
  • Mechanical Expertise : Provide expert guidance on mechanical material handling equipment and related systems.
  • Blueprint Interpretation : Review and interpret blueprints and specifications, ensuring proper execution.
  • Welding Oversight : Supervise welding activities, ensuring precision and adherence to project requirements.
  • Fabrication : Assemble, fit, and weld metal sections and plates to create complete projects.
  • Quality Control : Monitor and ensure the quality of on-site fabrication, production, and installations.
  • Safety Compliance : Enforce safe work practices and compliance with company and regulatory safety standards.
  • On-Site Repairs : Conduct on-site repairs, modifications, and retrofits.
  • Customer Coordination : Liaise with clients to address and resolve on-site issues. Effective communication.
  • Problem Solving : Troubleshoot and provide solutions for complex mechanical and technical challenges.
  • Continuous Improvement : Stay updated on the latest technologies and techniques in the industry to ensure best practices.
  • Additional Duties : Perform other tasks as assigned to support project completion.

What We're Looking For :

  • Experience : Extensive experience as a licenced Millwright with a strong background in supervisory roles.
  • Certification / Training : Millwright certification required. Interprovincial Red Seal Millwright or CWB tickets preferred.
  • Additional Certification / Training : Working at Heights, Elevated Work Platforms, WHMIS, or willingness and ability to acquire.
  • Leadership Skills : Proven leadership abilities with a focus on team development and project success.
  • People Skills : Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication both verbally and in writing.
  • Technical Skills : Strong mechanical, welding, and fabrication skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving : Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Flexibility : Willingness to travel as required for various projects.
  • Security Clearance : Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance.
  • Driver’s Licence : A valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
  • Computer Literacy : Basic computer skills; ability to use industry specific apps (CrewTracks).

Work Conditions :

  • Working Environment : Frequently noisy working environment with potential hazards associated with the trade.
  • Work Locations : Work both indoors and outdoors; industrial and agricultural construction sites.
  • Physical Requirements : Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Travel : Travel to job site locations as work requires.
  • Manual Dexterity : Manual dexterity required to use power and hand tools.

Wage : $40.00 - $50.00 per hour (based on experience); with overtime opportunities available.
