The Maintenance and Engineering Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of maintenance and engineering with respect to the physical plant, grounds, all equipment and machinery, as well as being an active member of the site’s Management Committee.

What’s involved in this role

Manages preventative and corrective maintenance programs, ensuring availability of appropriate equipment to meet all production needs to manufacture, package, store, and ship product meeting customer requirements.

Drives continuous improvements to processes and equipment, striving to improve productivity, quality and profitability of systems, processes and equipment.

Manages, leads, motivates, and mentors maintenance, and engineering teams through proactive communications, individual feedback, employee involvement and participation.

Performs in the capacity of Project Manager in the efficient and successful implementation and realization of capital projects.

Ensures optimum management of replacement part inventory.

Responsible for the management building and maintenance budget, ensuring all purchases remain within established budgets.

Backup for all quality / food safety.

What you need to join our team

Degree in mechanical, industrial, or electrical engineering.

Five (5) to seven (7) years of progressive maintenance experience, as well as plant engineering experience in the food or chemical industry.
