Asa member of the Civil team the Electrical Superintendent willutilize their expertise in electrical processes to provide insightand innovative construction solutions to ensure the successfulexecution of various heavy civil projects which may includetunneling highways infrastructure earthworks and hydroelectricprojects.
TheElectrical Superintendent will report directly to the ProjectManager / General Superintendent and will be responsible for theentire completion of constructionprojects.
Asan Electrical Superintendent at EBC your responsibilities include :
- Providingleadership and to establish and maintain effective and harmoniousrelationships of the onsitestaff;
- Havingthorough and complete knowledge and understanding of the contractdocuments each subcontract the contract drawings specifications andaddenda as it relates to the electrical aspects of the scope ofwork and to assist the Project Manager in the development of theonsite procedures related tosuch;
- Assistingthe Project Manager in the development of the project schedule andwork with the Project Manager to keep schedules updates and ensurethe job meets the variousmilestones;
- Planningand reviewing the site construction program with the ProjectManager including quality control procedures safety andenvironmental procedures staging plans equipment andmanpower;
- Coordinatingwith directing and monitoring the Field Engineer / Coordinatorinspection activities of the subcontractors suppliers and ownforces;
- Coordinatingwith and directing when necessary the activities of the inspectionagencies and to effect remedial actions ifrequired;
- Establishingand retaining necessary communications between subcontractorsconsultants andclients;
- Providingdaily reports of work done and labour and material employed to theProjectManager;
- Maintaininggood relations and communications with all involved in the projectincluding thepublic.
Requirements
- Relatedjob experience of 5 years in Mechanical or Electrical constructionworking on heavy civil constructionprojects;
- Advancedskills in management negotiation communication and problemsolving;
- Excellenttime management skills and ability to prioritizework;
- Knowledgeof office management systems and administrativeprocedures;
- Basicmath accounting and financeskills;
- Bilingual(an asset) but proficiency in English language with excellentcommunication skills (written and verbal) isrequired.
