We are actively seeking an accomplished Lead Engineering Manager to lead a dynamic team in scaling ClearScore Canada. This is a role for someone who likes operating with a start-up mentality, is highly analytical and has a track record of successfully iterating to improve a product.

What you’ll do:
- Manage a team of cross-functional engineers, actively driving their personal growth and development
- Hold the whole squad to account for execution and delivery of value to users and partners, ensuring continual improvement of your squad’s effectiveness.
- Set the engineering strategy for the squad, and use your knowledge of modern agile practices to effectively deliver strong outcomes
- Take the lead in collaborating and influencing Global teams, enabling engineers to concentrate on their optimal performance while ensuring Canada’s needs are met
- Foster a high-functioning team dynamic with common goals and collaborative work across functions
- Shape the Canada business and team culture as an active part of the Canada Leadership Team
- Report to the Head of Canada
Skills we’d love you to have:
- Leadership experience managing high performing teams of up to 7 engineers, fostering a culture of psychological safety.
- The ability to flexibly switch between hands-on technical involvement and strategic thinking. With the ability to input, understand and challenge engineering decisions - but to empower the team to make those decisions themselves.
- Comfortable working within ambiguous problem areas with a high degree of autonomy.
- An iterative and experimentation mindset to be able to optimise outcomes
- Robust technical and operational knowledge of the latest industry technologies and best practices to ensure that platforms are properly monitored and running smoothly in a “you build it, you run it” environment
- The ability to communicate openly and deliver feedback to people at different levels
