POSITION SUMMARY
- The Shipper / Receiver reports to the Team Lead Logistics and is responsible for verifying incoming goods against packing slips and purchase orders and is responsible for shipping customer requirements accurately as per pick list.
- The Shipper / Receiver is responsible for ensuring that parts are shipped to proper location via the shunt trucks.
- They are responsible to ensure that the JIT truck is loaded with the correct parts and packaging as per the plating turn schedule.
They are responsible to keep the trucks on schedule.
The Shipper / Receiver is responsible for housekeeping & organizing the plant / shipping area.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITES
Maintain all shipping records in conjunction with the office staff including the preparation of shipping papers for customers, and the files for outgoing materials and products.
Prepare and scan bar coded labels for outgoing finished products.
- Unload and load shunting truck moving from Frontenac to Centre and milk runs going from Frontenac to subcontractors.
- Perform accurate scanning to all locations for inventory movement.
- Perform accurate scanning of all customer shipments, and prepare shipping paperwork.
- Complete daily aisle / rack / location audits.
- Complete daily pre-shipment verifications.
- Ensure all shipments meet Customer shipping specifications.
- Stage components to be shipped to other Rollstamp plant (eg. Centre St.) using Min / Max sheet.
- Unload and sign for received goods. Check incoming goods against packing slips and or Purchase Order and report of any shortages.
- Enter received packing slips into Trans4M and forward copy to Accounting. Log items received in the shipping / receiving database.
- Responsible for moving incoming raw material to designated and / or required area. Ensure proper storage and flow of material, for work in process and finished products as per schedule and / or customer demand.
- Generate, send, and monitor advanced shipment notifications (ASN’s).
- Generate and send NAFTA documents for required shipments.
- Book GM shipments online.
- Book Tesla shipments online via the Tesla Portal.
- Book Schneider shipments via the Schneider Portal.
- Operate forklift to move materials from one area to another within the Shipping Department, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Conduct forklift and dock inspections.
- Keep storage areas in a neat, clean, and safe manner. Cooperate with Safety Committee and adhere to all safety rules and policies including working in a safe manner and wearing all Personal Protective Equipment.
- Contact carriers for pick-ups.
- Ensure that stock is consumed and finished goods are shipped on a FIFO basis.
- Complete aisle and location audits
- Complete pre-shipment verifications.
- When products are received from the supplier, the quantities must be verified as per the prescribed frequency (Coils 100%, Extrusions 20%, Resins 100%, Others 10%).
- All received products must be immediately scanned (no manual entries) into RST / PBR inventory system.
- Responsible for the flow of returnable packaging between Centre and Frontenac.
- Comply with all Rollstamp Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Comply with all Rollstamp IATF 16949 policies and procedures.
- Comply with all Rollstamp ISO14001 policies and procedures.
- Perform any other reasonable request by management.
WORKER HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIROMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct work in compliance with the Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) regulations and ISO45001 Occupational H&S Management System (OHSMS) and ISO14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) requirements
- Follow all Rollstamp’s HSE policies and procedures
- Use and wear the right personal protective equipment (PPE) and protective devices
- Report absence or defect in any equipment or protective device to the Supervisor / Manager
- Report any hazard, unsafe act, or condition to the Supervisor / Manager
- Attend / participate in all required training
SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Educational Requirements : Grade 12 education or equivalent with good mathematical aptitude
Minimum Experience : Minimum 2 years manufacturing or production experience, preferably in an
automotive environment.
Courses Required : Minimum 2 years manufacturing or production experience, preferably in an
automotive environment.
Computer Skills : Working knowledge of MS Office and Lotus Notes. Strong skills in Trans4M required.
Knowledge of Tesla Portal for online booking and labelling.
Additional Certificates / Diplomas : N / R
Licenses / Permits Required : Forklift license is required
Physical Requirements : Must be able to stand or walk for up to 8 hours, must be able to lift and move boxes weighing up to 25 kgs.
Communication Skills : Good verbal and written English communication skills

- Must be able to differentiate between all products produced
