We’re looking for our next experienced Project Manager to join our PMO. Reporting to the Program Manager, you’ll be leading a variety of projects for both internal leaders and external partner stakeholders.

A day in the life as a Project Manager :

Project Planning

  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, and timelines.
  • Identify and allocate resources needed for the project.
  • Create a risk management plan and mitigation strategies.

Resource Management

  • Assemble project teams and assign tasks.
  • Provide direction, guidance, and support to team members.
  • Foster collaboration and communication among team members.
  • Manage conflicts and resolve issues within the team.

Communication :

  • Communicate with stakeholders to understand their requirements and expectations.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress, milestones, and risks.
  • Address stakeholder concerns and manage their expectations.
  • Facilitate meetings and discussions with stakeholders.

Risk Management :

  • Identify potential risks to the project and assess their impact.
  • Develop risk response strategies to mitigate or avoid risks.
  • Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Implement contingency plans when necessary.

Project Management and Reporting :

  • Monitor project progress against milestones and timelines.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success.
  • Prepare regular progress reports for stakeholders and management.
  • Identify areas of improvement and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain project documentation, including plans, schedules, and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, maintaining records, and managing project documentation systems.
  • Archive project documentation and lessons learned for future reference.

Change Management :

  • Assess and manage changes to project scope, schedule, or resources.
  • Evaluate the impact of changes and adjust plans accordingly.
  • Communicate changes effectively to all stakeholders.
  • Ensure changes are implemented smoothly and minimize disruption to the project.

In the first six months, you’ll be successful at reaching these milestones :

  • See multiple vendor / collaboration projects through to completion, such as audits or large-scale integrations
  • Roll out company-wide process improvements in collaboration with senior leadership
  • Lead internal software implementation projects
  • Improve or create team processes

  • I have knowledge of project management, gained through formal education and 3+ years of direct experience in project management
  • I have experience planning and executing software implementation projects
  • I have experience with risk management
  • I am highly organized and have a proven ability to consistently deliver on small and large initiatives
  • I have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • I am a critical thinker and have a proven ability to solve professional problems
  • I’m willing to occasionally travel and have a valid passport and no travel restrictions that limit my ability to cross the border between Canada and the USA
  • I thrive in an agile environment that is constantly changing and encourages team members to collectively collaborate and communicate
  • I love to be directly involved in projects and initiatives that offer continued learning and endless opportunity to express my ideas and build my leadership skills
