Position Summary

Job Summary :

Light & Wonder is currently seeking a collaborative and strategic People Capability Business Partner (PCBP) to join their team in Canada.

In this role, the PCBP will serve as a coach, advisor, and consultant to both creators (employees') and leaders, contributing to the company's culture and enhancing the creator experience.

Operational responsibilities include talent management, performance management, creator relations, engagement, and change management for the assigned business unit.

The PCBP will lead the development and execution of People Capability objectives and programs, such as annual performance reviews, compensation planning, succession planning, and action plans based on engagement surveys.

Additionally, they'll work closely with business leaders, fostering effective relationships and supporting overall company objectives.

This position reports to Senior PC Leadership at the Divisional Level and covers multi-site, multi-province business units within the organization;

operating within the People Capability COE (Center of Excellence) model.

Key Responsibilities :

Trusted Advisor and Consultant :

  • Engage as a trusted advisor to leaders within the assigned functions.
  • Provide HR consulting, leveraging expertise to drive positive outcomes.

External Trends and Impact Assessment :

  • Stay informed about social, political, environmental, and macroeconomic trends, and socialize information and insights.
  • Proactively identify potential impacts on the workforce and proposes solutions.

Business Alignment and Issue Diagnosis :

  • Understand the business context and diagnose issues.
  • Leverage business insights and performance metrics to support People business decisions.
  • Ensures that people strategies and talent management practices aligned with enterprise goals.
  • Leverages creator feedback and engagement survey data to drive improvement actions.

Talent Management Leadership :

  • Drive the talent agenda by enabling the building of high-performing teams.
  • Align creator and leader behaviors and mindsets with company expectations.
  • Drives talent programs such as performance, succession planning, and talent development in concert with the Learning & Development COE.

Execution of People Strategies :

  • Ensure effective execution of company-wide HR programs.
  • Represent the voice of the business.

Strategic Partnership and Development :

  • Collaborate on reward decisions, talent management, and succession planning.
  • Actively engage with the People Capability team for functional transformation.

Global Collaboration and Thought Leadership :

  • Share insights and thought leadership across the global People Capability team.
  • Participate in cross-functional priority teams.
  • Owns programs and projects geared to increase talent capability.
  • Leverages COE functions to deliver business-tailored solutions.

Qualifications

Education :

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Master's Degree a plus.
  • Human Resources Certification a plus.

Required Experience :

  • 3 - 5 years of Human Resources experience with multi-unit, multi-province responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated success in executing on progressive people strategies and driving process improvements.
  • Proven track record of influencing, leading, and facilitating strategic initiatives with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaborative skills across levels with an ability to persuade, influence, and build enthusiasm and commitment.
  • Goal-oriented, accountable, and passionate about driving results.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • An agile and continuous learner with personal resilience and an ability to deal with ambiguity.

Physical Requirements :

Office Environment.

Work Conditions :

  • May require weekend and evening hours.
  • May also require travel to support other locations as needed.
  • Hybrid work arrangement (Remote and in office)
