TIG/GTAW Welder - Day Shift - Full Time

T I G W E L D E R. EM Characteristics is a leader in production of steel products and seeks dedicated Associates to contribute to our success in a busy manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Weld aluminum, stainless steel, and steel using TIG (GTAW) processes. Aluminum welding capability is a must.
• Operate in a busy setting with strong attention to detail and quality of workmanship.
• Work both independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
• Support continuous improvement and maintain a safe, clean work environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years TIG welding experience.
• Capacity to weld aluminum, stainless steel, and steel; aluminum welding capability required.
• Canadian Citizens, PRs, or valid Work Authorization holders will be considered.
• Live in the Greater Toronto Area.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Strong team player; able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Supplemental language: English not required.

Terms of Employment

• Shifts: Day Change, Full Time.
• Wage: $25.00-$30.00 per hour; OT paid.
• Anticipated Start Date: ASAP.
• Location: Scarborough (McCowan & Sheppard).
• Job Types: Full Time (Day Shift) Permanent; Benefits include safety footwear and safety glasses; access to on-site gym; clean, well-ventilated welding cells with best-in-class fume ventilation.
