• Group Summary :
• Cosma provides a comprehensive range of body, chassis and engineering solutions to global customers. Through our robust product engineering, outstanding tooling capabilities and diverse process expertise, we continue to bring lightweight and innovative products to market.
• Job Responsibilities :
• Manages mid-sized projects from planning through completion with moderate oversight.
• Conducts manpower efficiency studies using time and motion analysis, line balancing, and related methods.
• Collaborates with departments and customers to enhance production efficiency, ergonomics, safety, and maintenance.
• Supports continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversees tooling design, build, approval processes, and capital budgets.
• Supervises equipment relocation and installation at Modatek.
• Assists in resolving quality issues.
• Coordinates implementation of customer-approved engineering changes, including communication, part, process, and tooling updates.
• Updates and maintains plant layout documentation.
• Handles additional assigned projects and duties as needed.
• JOB REQUIREMENTS :
• Post-secondary education in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering
• Minimum three (3) years work-related experience within a lean manufacturing environment, preferably automotive assembly
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Practical experience in costing and quoting
• Experience in Project Management
• Able to read and interpret CAD drawings, experience with AutoCAD
• Ability to work overtime to meet customer needs##
